Introduction to Acting

This foundational course is designed for individuals with little to no prior acting experience. We cover the essential building blocks of the craft, including basic stage presence, vocal projection, improvisation techniques, and fundamental scene study. Through a series of engaging exercises and supportive critiques, you'll gain the confidence and skills to bring characters to life and explore the world of performance.

Course Objectives:

She holds an MFA in Acting from the Yale School of Drama and has performed in numerous regional theatre productions and independent films. Advanced Scene Study

This course is designed for experienced actors who are looking to deepen their understanding of scene analysis and performance. Students will work on challenging scenes from classic and contemporary plays, exploring complex characters and relationships. Emphasis will be placed on detailed text analysis, emotional preparation, and collaborative techniques. Prerequisite: Introduction to Acting or equivalent experience required.

Musical Theatre Performance

Students will explore a variety of musical styles, learn techniques for vocal projection and stage presence, and develop their ensemble performance skills. No prior experience in all three disciplines is required, but enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are a must! This course culminates in a showcase performance for friends and family.
